Innovate to Integrate

eYouwins – The European Youth Week in Novi Sad is the largest youth festival with a thematic focus in Serbia. eYouwins is dedicated to youth in Serbia, Europe and worldwide, and its mission is to promote the spirit of cooperation and to link cultures, ideas and, above all, people. We started in 2006 and in short time Festival has gained popularity among young people all over Europe. During three years more than 2500 young people get involved in this event and more than 300 guests from 25 countries visited Novi Sad and Serbia.
The European Year of Innovation and Creativity allows us to look at concepts of creativity and innovation from different angles, and inspires us to apply them to the great challenge, such as intercultural dialogue. Tackling this complex challenge requires new knowledge as well as new approaches to combining existing knowledge and finding holistic solutions and creating innovative tools.

In the face of evidence that diversity and multicultural environments can stimulate creativity, the aim of eYouWins 2009 – European Year of Creativity and Innovation – is to foster the creative and innovative potential in all participants and at the same time to promote intercultural dialogue and youth cooperation at international level. The overall objectives of eYouWins 2009 are to raise awareness among young people of the importance of creativity and innovation as key competences for personal, social and economic development and assist in turning the increasing multiculturalism of European societies into an asset for creativity, innovation and growth.
In order to address different needs of participants and to fulfill project goals in an innovative way, program of the eYouWins 2009 is structured as a combination of three elements ‐ People, let’s innovate!, People, let’s create! and People, let’s party! . eYouWins will create synergy of these elements encouraging creativity and innovation among young people, focusing on real‐life, intercultural dialogue, exploring cultural diversity and developing personal skills and attitudes. Creative workshops will include creative‐problem‐solving techniques such as mind mapping, brainstorming, six thinking hats (de Bono lateral thinking) and creative problem solving process. A variety of non‐formal learning methods and techniques will be used, including interactive lectures and discussions, teambuilding games, creative workshops, outdoor presentations and artistic performances. A balanced mix of lectures and interactive small – group trainings with the bulk of the time spent practicing problem solving “hands‐on” with the problems related to intercultural dialogue will be used. Learning experience will be additionally amplified by multicultural and multi‐religious surrounding of Novi Sad and Vojvodina.
